Strange how you have only took this out on me. You have been like a dog without his bone chomping at everything i said this afternoon. It does not affect you so much with living in Chester, i am a local lad so Bol@#ks too you :yahoo::cheers::bye:

I live in Port Sunlight now, but if you read your history you may see that Liverpool has its roots in Chester.

You have personally wound me up because you don't talk sense, you contradict yourself, you use far too much animated smileys.

I wanted to see if you turned out to be a good lad, but I think your going on the melt list.

The decision has nothing to do with the voting, they have called this thing in as the are thinking what the development may do to the local community. Furthermore, all this talk of it affecting takeover bids is nonsense. I am sorry but wake up and smell the coffee, nobody was going to invest in us.

I believe it would effect take over bids. Look at Goodision, its rotting away and needs a 150+million from the ground up referb which is off putting to men with the cash. The fact the [Poor language removed] are already building there stadium will just put more investors off.

It was called no because of what the development will do with the community, Kikrby is a run down area and it would regenerate the town. It was called in for because of the amount of money and business the town would make that got Sefton etc in a huff cos they wouldnt see a penny. And as for LCC, they would've lost out massively on what the club brings in for them.

Its about money at the end of the day -- where's mine? How come they get that and we dont? I dont want to lose my income but what help you find a better solution....etc etc.

Words dying on our feet comes to mind!

Likely Outcome 1- Stay were we are and hit the glass ceiling, loose Moyes, Team/Club Disentegrates, Champoinship Yay!

Likely Outcome 2- Carry on with the projsct and dont have a pot to piss in for a year! Yay

Great news isnt it!

I honestly believe investment would have arrived if it wasn't called in.

Much needed investment to ensure Evertons most important asset remains at the club, David Moyes.

Not a dig at you personally "dutch" but its interesting that individuals can leave liverpool to better themselves, but come helll or high water the club can't. strange, and only 500 yards from the border in a place where scouse is the national language, and Everton is the national team.

Not personally taken mate, as I really am Dutch. It's not an attack on Scousers outside Liverpool as I'm simply not qualified to judge. Don't even want to go there. An Evertonian is an evertonian to me, no matter from where he is. It's just my opinion that EFC belong within the city boundaries of Liverpool.

For example, I live in a small village near Sittard and I'm a born and bred Fortuna fan, but I wouldn't want them moving to my place.

I share the same view.

Well Danny, what's annoyed me is that people have this view that the Kirkby Project was a bad idea because of the location. The fact that it was just outside the city limits. Which to me basically says that anyone who lives outside of the city limits are not proper Evertonians.

I'm not particularly fussed about where we play, its not important to me. What is important is that the club moves up in the world, and it ain't going to do it at Goodison Park, and it ain't going to do it with the LCC. Kirkby was the best option for the club, and now its been screwed over.

Would people be cheering if this stadium was in Huyton and it was called in?

No. Therefore there reasons for being happy are not the right reasons.

Honestly, do you still believe in Wyness' propaganda? That a) GP is falling down and b) it will cost far more to rebuild it than build a completely new stadium?

Its about money at the end of the day -- where's mine? How come they get that and we dont? I dont want to lose my income but what help you find a better solution....etc etc.
Do you really think that letting companies like Tesco do what they please is good for people in the long run? Because that's what this was all about: Tesco wanted to build a ridiculously big shopping centre in a small town.

As a second note, it's not at all clear that long-term these projects are good the communities they are in. In the short term they provide with low income jobs, but in the long run most small businesses in the area have to close down because they can't compete. It has happened all over the world.

this isnt just about keeping the club in the city.
this decision is about the survival and well being of everton fc.

now we have wasted time and money and will probably waste more time and money trying to resolve the mess.

those of you celebrating , i dont know wether to pity you or be disgusted by you.

wether you like kirkby or not , the decision is nothing and i mean nothing to celebrate as all it does is harm the club and set it back even more.

Agree compleatley, if not immediately it would have happened in the short term future given Debt V Assets, i think Moyes will walk now its just a matter of time as when.

Probably just the same people who celebrated the club being denied permission by LCC to build homes at Bellfield, costing the club £10-£15million.
