Wow the division of views is still amazing after all this time. For/against... call in benefical/not. Still no clear positions.

Hey, maybe this could work out to where a big time buyer comes in, buys low, and builds a much better stadium than we've seen proposed to date. If I were said billionare, I would rather control the future vision than have a mediocre, turn-key one built for me.

I can can dream can't I? Come on Mittal, EFC is here for the taking.

the excact opposite is going to happen imo.
i thought about it for a while and i feared that if it got called in then finances at the club would judder to a halt.
im expecting player sales of epic proportions to stay afloat in the next year or 2 to be honest.

Or Kenwright will just sell up to the highest bidder who turns out to be as bad of the texans over at the [Poor language removed], or Takshin over at Citeh who's had his funds frozen.

Just got back from lunch. I just can't believe it.

You think it was hard before this has put a damper on everything.

No investment, no transfers really a very sad day. Poor ol Davey I know he wants to scream. what do you do. This summer has been absolutely awful. Well we are Everton so we will make do boy will it be hard to move forward from here.:(

I'm gutted beyond belief.

Yaaaay.

Anyone who honestly believes that the ground would've been a financial windfall for the club needs to get their head out of their arse. Celtic and Rangers are two of the biggest clubs in Britain, they both regularly get 60,000 plus gates, get in the Champions League most seasons and STILL struggle to shell money out on anything. We would've gained a soulless ground on the outskirts of the city in exchange for one of the last true football grounds in the country. Walking up the streets to get to and from the match; the atmosphere inside knowing that the walls had absorbed over a hundred years of noise. Knowing that whatever had happened to our club has all happened right there. Kendal, Ball, Harvey, Dean, Gray, Labone.

So we can go to the Tesco stadium instead, with 10,000 more seats? No thanks.

Never mind the fact we would never have stopped being reminded that we'd given the city to the [Poor language removed].

Superb Post mate. Watch out for those that shoot you down lad, i have the bullet wounds to prove it.

:bye::bye::bye:Great news, Everton belong in Liverpool and that's something that should never chance. (y):pint:

What are you on about !!!

When Everton moved to Goodison it WAS outside the city boundary ..... so what the [Poor language removed] are you on about, it is pricks like you that dont want the club to move on with stupid arguments.

Is Kirby not part of Liverpool then, only 4 miles away from Goodison !!!!

Get a life !!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I must also say, I'm not too pleased with people being so delighted with this outcome. Whether you want us to move to Kirkby or not, in the end, it would have been for the better of the club. What more do you want than something to be good for EFC? In the end, it would have been much better for the club for this to have not been called in.

Says it all really, 20's 70's, 80's

90's Madar, Spencer, Angel, Hughes, Thomas, Thmpson, O Kane, Farelly - see were im going here.

This is not good news - yes Kirkby was far from perfect but the fact that this decision could lead to the club not only stagnating, but going backwards is the important. Moyes could go, we won't get investment, we'll lose more money in Goodison, we won't buy any big names and we'll struggle to have a 'plan B' in under 18months.

In the meantime, Spurs, Vila, City and the rest will continue to build.

If you want to celebrate that, then good luck to you.

This is unbelievable. Never will we have the money to afford a stadium on our own. The government can [Poor language removed] right off.

Serious re-budgeting on this years transfer budget!

Or paying £70 pound for the day to see a game with a black pillar in my face or a low ceiling. Standing in piss cos the urinals have backed up.

Who said it would've been souless?

And....its hasnt been knocked on the head yet. We're probably still going but for more money.

Ok mate. I'll trust you. I'll ignore Dunford, Birch, Wyness, Elstone etc. We dont need a new stadium. We'll remain at Goodison, literally in the shadow of Liverpools new shiny stadium.

Yeah you're right. Because our success in the 90's was down to the ground (n)

You forgot a few names there, by the way. Ferguson, Cottee, Watson, Southall, Rideout, Limpar....
