Well Danny, what's annoyed me is that people have this view that the Kirkby Project was a bad idea because of the location.
Oh for [Poor language removed]'s sake. Haven't you read the planning documents etc? There's plenty of better reasons why this was a bad idea.

What I can't understand is why some Evertonians want the club to move a Reebok or Ricoh arena. NSNO?

I share the same view.
How did KEIOC affect the outcome?

this isnt just about keeping the club in the city.
this decision is about the survival and well being of everton fc.

now we have wasted time and money and will probably waste more time and money trying to resolve the mess.

those of you celebrating , i dont know wether to pity you or be disgusted by you.

wether you like kirkby or not , the decision is nothing and i mean nothing to celebrate as all it does is harm the club and set it back even more.

My sentiments exactly mate. I usually take people's opinions I don't agree with, with a pinch of salt. But I really just cannot understand people on this one. How on earth anyone sees this as good news is beyond me.

This is horrible news to hear, I'm stunned :(

We're really back to square one now. Discussions are going to be wasted on the new stadium decision instead of on new players. Cash is going to be a problem in the future. Can only hope for a solution to be resolved as soon as possible. Come on EFC

I live in Port Sunlight now, but if you read your history you may see that Liverpool has its roots in Chester.

You have personally wound me up because you don't talk sense, you contradict yourself, you use far too much animated smileys.

I wanted to see if you turned out to be a good lad, but I think your going on the melt list.

You have your own judgements over me that are incorrect. I only put smileys on occasionaly and in any event, thats why there on this forum "to use". I am a gooden but just because you fell out the wrong side of the bed this morning and disagree with my opinions, i am apparently being melted down. I have my opinions, you have yours and that is fine, but you have used too many expletives today akin to BK members. Case Closed!

Suppose most people will be wanting Kenwright out now.
It really is a backward step after all the progression we made on the pitch these past years.
Guess we shouldn't of expected anything else really. After all when has Everton ever had anything done in favour for them?

Wow the division of views is still amazing after all this time. For/against... call in benefical/not. Still no clear positions.

Hey, maybe this could work out to where a big time buyer comes in, buys low, and builds a much better stadium than we've seen proposed to date. If I were said billionare, I would rather control the future vision than have a mediocre, turn-key one built for me.

I can can dream can't I? Come on Mittal, EFC is here for the taking.

The only thing I have against Kenwright is appointing Wyness in the first place, a man who had just previously had a stadium proposal at Aberdeen called in.

How do you think the club can get a loan that big? Even the club said that 78 million is already stretching it.

Goodison Park, on the other hand, can be developed in phases. Starting with Park End. And why would rebuilding Goodison cost so much more? You do know that the Knowsley site needs to be cleaned as it's an old landfill? That's not cheap.

Would we pay for the land fill clean up? No, I wouldnt think so.

Where are the [Poor language removed] getting 300mill from? Loans. Its can be done.

Why would Goodison cost more? I'm sure it was pulled up that a plan to redevelope goodison years ago would cost 60million -- inflation was added for todays market and it hit 150+ million. Its foundations need a to be rebuilt ground, up. Stage by stage will knock gate recipets down as building is going on. The surround areas need to be bought out. You seen how close the house' are to the ground? To expand they need to go. New facilites, new executive boxes, and also trasnport (yes the city would need to sort out their transport) for an extra 10,000 fans. If both us and the [Poor language removed] played the same day thats 120,000's fans in a few miles of each other in a close area.

If we sign Messi now it wont make up for my grief about this! Hel just be another sellable asset, when he hit the skids and Moyes isnt around to perform miracles.

Yaaaay.

Anyone who honestly believes that the ground would've been a financial windfall for the club needs to get their head out of their arse. Celtic and Rangers are two of the biggest clubs in Britain, they both regularly get 50,000 plus gates, get in the Champions League most seasons and STILL struggle to shell money out on anything. We would've gained a soulless ground on the outskirts of the city in exchange for one of the last true football grounds in the country. Walking up the streets to get to and from the match; the atmosphere inside knowing that the walls had absorbed over a hundred years of noise. Knowing that whatever had happened to our club has all happened right there. Kendal, Ball, Harvey, Dean, Gray, Labone.

So we can go to the Tesco stadium instead, with 10,000 more seats? No thanks.

Never mind the fact we would never have stopped being reminded that we'd given the city to the [Poor language removed].
