Koeman: "Barkley looking for a new challenge"

I am not saying he is a Rodwell either mate. Just think he will become a bit player at Spurs for a couple of seasons and win nothing. But he may get into the England squad finally.
I take it you mean getting into the squad for the world cup mate? TBH I think he'd of helped that cause better if he'd of stayed here. I dont see how being on the Spurs beach will help his claim to a England squad place.

He has 22 caps for England

Of course but I guess you know what I mean. He must be gutted for missing out the England squad time after time in recent years. He was not playing regularly enough for England for more than a year. He played 3 times in 2016 and 0 in 2017.

But, its also his workplace and its quite possible him and Koeman don't see eye to eye so he wants a change of scenery.

Many factors in this situation but its easy to blame Ross and paint him as the enemy
Agree but some uninformed idiots want to blame Koeman.....none of us know the real reasons for his decision to leave.....which he hasn't actually done yet.

What I've been saying for awhile mate, more to this than money IMO. I reckon things have got so strained between Barkley and Koeman to the point of no going back that Ross thinks it's time to move on, as I say though, just my opinion.

Ross missing out on being in the England squad was mostly down to the bellends in charge.

Say if he has 2 years left, we will get the true value for him. A year left then Spurs hold the cards.

For sure I don't know when did the club begin the negotation but one thing I would agree was the deal should have been tied up last summer. Even Gibson had signed a new deal when there was no manager at the club.

Maybe he was content two years ago? Didn't have his head turned or whatever the reasons are for wanting to leave.

I think most people agree that negotiations should have started last summer at the latest!

This is true. How come Barkley does not get in the squad instead of tosh like Livermore. Maybe Southgate does not like Everton. And people tend to get selected more easily by playing for media darling like Spurs.

Ask the last 3 England managers.

Because he did nowt of interest in his 22 caps.

I think from woy and Southgate

Woy wanted England to be like RS
AND
Southgate wants England to be like spurs.

Unfortunately they never seem to like 'everton' bar the odd one or two

I think barkleys chances of an England pick will rise dramatically if he went to spurs.

I believe this is part of the season why he wants to leave too.
