Fraudo's last season, Ross looked lost, fat and disinterested.
Last season he looked motivated, fit and hungry again.
Faded a bit towards the end of the season but I was impressed by his finding form again for most of it.
 
Maybe Ron took an instant dislike because Martinez had inflated Barkley's worth, we will never know but i can guess at how Barkley may have come across to Ron. He certainly got singled out, which is not the most effective form of man management (unless you really know the individual or want to p*ss them off) and being hooked at half-time never really does much for a players confidence. I will be sorry to see him go, he has a lot of ability despite the fact he's as thick as mince.

Going Spurs or any other top 6 team because he's home grown?

Ah well watching Juventus, Real Madrid or Bayern Munich from the sidelines surely is more enjoyable than watching us playing the likes of PSV, Cologne or KV Oostende.

It's very important he is sold not to PL top6. I do rate him , he has contributed to 30 PL goals, assists in last 2 years. Giving him to Spurs will improve them whether he starts or on bench. Barkley miles ahead of Sissoko for example. Sell him elsewhere.

More importantly have we replaced goals & assists of Lukaku & Barkley ? Not so sure. Even with Sigurdsson, I fail to see the how we replace the two & upgrade the XI. Have high hopes on Sandro but till PL kicks off & I see him , will be sceptical.

The four players he has been 'blunt' with this summer didn't want to be here.

Think it is a shame.

I would like Wayne to get hold of RK and RB and tell Ron, leave Ross with me to look after and I will give you that world class consistent performer you are looking for.

Scoring a goal for another team will never be the same as scoring for Everton Ross.

We need a proper CF and a CB and a playmaker.

We have acquired players who, in theory, will help us spread goals around the team.

Ross got 9 assists and 5 goals last year. Gylfi got 13 and 10 respectively. Rooney got 5 of each and I dare say he'll score 15 at least for us this year.

Sandro - once he settles - is an excellent player. Same with Klaassen.

So two more additions and yes, I think we have. We'll be playing in an entirely different way.

Change is good. We've not done anything with this old squad, so sack it, if players want out, let them leave. They've brought us no success. Nada.
