This bedding in period, that seems so overrated. Did Gueye need a long bedding in period last year, or Schneiderlin, or Ashley Williams?
 
Don't wish Ross any ill or bad fortune, I'd have been happy for him to stay but the real truth is that he wasn't even close to being consistent enough for us if we intend on getting in to the CL places. The press and the wider footballing community love to build up English players as soon as they've played 5 mins of football. Yet for all the column inches they get, no one has put an offer in for Ross and Sampdoria have offered £6m for Wilshere. If we want success we won't achieve it by filling a squad full of 'potential'.

RK knew it too which is why when Ross told him he wanted to leave, he shrugged his shoulders, dipped his chip into a massive dollop of mayonnaise and said 'ok, but this is football'

Sigurdsson is a better player.

He also wants to come to Everton.

Ross, a very good player with a higher potential, wants out. Ultimately, he can do one.

It's not awful business as we'll have improved the team. That matters more.

Barkley is twice the player any of those are/were.

Why do some supporters feel the need to denigrate a player's talent just because they seek a club that wants them - and one are doing better than us?
 

don't see his place in this current side,and if we do get the lad from Swansea,then no chance.he wants a good season for next years world cup i'm guessing and doubt he'd get a full quota of games.
hasn't made a big fuss in fairness to him, made his decision and wants the move,so good luck to him, gave me many happy moments.

Its £50m for a guy who can cross well and failed at spurs, at that price it's woeful business in the extreme.
 
Barkley is just a distraction now, we still need to do business in this window. Discussions are finished between him and the club, let's move on and focus on players that will move us on next season.

Sad to see him go, but I don't think he's become the player we hoped he would and can be. Get the best price for him.
