I know it's hardly breaking news Barkley wants to move on but does Koeman's public speaking lower his value he's pretty said he'll leave no matter what this window i can see some very cheeky bids coming in next couple of weeks...

Of course they will.

Thats the game. Any half decent PL player in a last year of their contract is a declining asset until they sign a new deal. Look at the cash Arsenal are looking to lob at Sanchez.

No mate, I wanted a smart club strategy that involved making Barkley an offer at the beginning of the time Koeman arrived and tie him up with us, then if the manager wanted to exercise his options we wouldn't be now being mugged off by Spurs and taking £25M for a £40M-50M rated player.
Koeman as the incoming manager had to have time to assess the players in his squad.

He offered Barkley a lucrative contract that he turned down, citing that he wants a new challenge.

You say that we're going to be mugged for £25m for a £50m player, yet you're going mad that we look to be paying £50m for a better player in Sigurdsson.

I bet you don't even understand the things you come out with most of the time.

You know thats what will happen. Spurs/Arsenal probably City will come in the last day and offer £15mill thinking we have to accept.

Hoping his new challenge is learning the Chinese language after we sell him there for ridiculous amounts of cash !

Blueboy on TEF has said "lots of lies have been told and they have all come from the Barkley camp".

Havent a clue what he's referring to.

Have to say I think Ross has made a poor decision and so has the agent/management team advising him.

It was nice - at times - while it lasted Ross and could have been oh so good, but to suggest you need a new challenge when the club is really beginning to take off is frankly barking.
Possibly Barklaying

Ross wants away personal reasons no ones fault at the club - Ross has to move on itk FF!

Am I gutted he's leaving? Or gutted he's not turned into the world beater (yet) that we all thought he would? Not sure.

But last 2 seasons, whenever I've seen him on the pitch he just doesn't look like he enjoys playing footy. Not for us anyway.

Maybe it's a pressure thing - too much on his shoulders, too young. Who knows? Something isn't right though. A change might be the answer. Then I really will be gutted!

Can't really say he's mastered the challenge he had. Can only see the Rodwell path for him wherever he goes. Anything north of 30 million is good but can't exactly see a queue forming and can't think of a club that would be a good fit for him other than the r/s... which would make him the mother of all Barmbys

West Ham, he'd fit in well with the dildo brothers.

Way to twist it to suit your agenda.

Right because generally that happens if a player doesn't sign a contract well they leave. Especially a player coming into his last year. As in why don;'t you want a contract and if not well is it you want to leave etc.....
He didn't tell him to leave in the way you put it. Ridiculous assumption.

"It is still one week. Time for him to decide," said Koeman ahead of Friday's visit of Watford. "The board has been working a long time to sign Ross for him to stay for a longer period but it is up to the player.

"But we don't wait till August. Next weekend we need an answer. If we go on holiday we need to know. Either he accepts the contract or we sell the player."

Oh dear.

Koeman always gives the impression of telling it straight, so if he says Ross has told him he wants a new challenge, then that is more than likely what happened. (If it were a personality clash, then as like as not, Koeman would have said so. And Koeman has said if all goes well, he'll be invovled with the first team, suggesting he's leaving the door ajar). But he's got the new challenge here at Everton right now - he is choosing to leave just when we appear to be able to push for trophies. And he can't honestly say he's gone as far as he can and achieved all that he can with Everton. If the rumours about the new contract are true, then it can't be for money. And he can't hate working for Koeman that much, can he? That he'd leave his own club at an apparently pivotal moment? There's got to be more to this than meets the eye, surely.
