But he wasn't ushered to the door was he?He was just sold? So yes it seems.
He's been threatened hasn't he......
Can't all Liverpudlian blues just band together, get the torches and pitchforks, and run this "Gangster named Sam" out of town? Mob up L4.That theory seems to be gaining some traction. Shame if it's actually the reason.
In all this saga:Koeman always gives the impression of telling it straight, so if he says Ross has told him he wants a new challenge, then that is more than likely what happened. (If it were a personality clash, then as like as not, Koeman would have said so. And Koeman has said if all goes well, he'll be invovled with the first team, suggesting he's leaving the door ajar). But he's got the new challenge here at Everton right now - he is choosing to leave just when we appear to be able to push for trophies. And he can't honestly say he's gone as far as he can and achieved all that he can with Everton. If the rumours about the new contract are true, then it can't be for money. And he can't hate working for Koeman that much, can he? That he'd leave his own club at an apparently pivotal moment? There's got to be more to this than meets the eye, surely.

Surely the reality is a bit more mundane: the player is not required by the manager (it happens, even to very good players) and the player seeks a fresh challenge with a club that need him more?Been my assumption for weeks.
Its literally the only scenario that actually makes any sense.
In all this saga:
Koeman has spoken in public and at length for months on end.
Barkley has said not one word....not even today.
To have a clash you have to have two opponents.
Players cant speak to the press etc? It's almost as if one of them gets asked questions in front of tv cameras/microphones etc every week
So did I. But I was only 8yrs old! Indifferent to Ross going. Wanted him to stay and fight for his shirt and for the club (his boyhood club). But on hearing he wants to leave, thats it. He's going to be just another opposition player. Its the boys in blue that count, starting tomorrow night.I cried when Alan Ball left............Won't shed a tear over this boy !
When you've got Rooney returning to the club and you hear the likes of dowell saying how he's already spoke to him personally on aspects of his game. Then you hear koeman today again reinforcing this point with his reference to Rooney and his impact on the younger players. Finally we had Rooney not long after he joined, praising ross' ability and wishing he would commit to the club. There is no doubt Ross would have no finer education learning from Rooney, who himself was the shining light at the club when he left, played under the most intense pressure at club and national level for the best part of 12 years. Why on earth as an Everton fan (Ross) wouldn't you want to utilise that help and advice to make you a better player. It just doesn't seem right to me. I'll be honest with you when Rooney joined, the first thing I thought of was that Ross would now commit. The question needs to be asked why?Been my assumption for weeks.

Didn't realise that. When did this rule happen?
Lukaku was trying to leave the moment he got here. Ross has had his chance. His bell of an agent has told him he'll do better elsewhere and cos the kid ain't got more than 5 brain cells, he's bought it. Contract was there. He didn't want it. Why do you continue to ignore this?Lukaku: was that the message to him too?
Been my assumption for weeks.
