Koeman: "Barkley looking for a new challenge"

No, that's not asking him to leave. That's telling him to sign the contract that's been on the table for a while or we have no choice but to sell you.

You insinuated that koeman threw it in his face and told him right then and there to sign or leave. Its all about context. You just want Koeman to be the bad guy when in fact Barkley in fact according to the club was dragging it out.

You have fudged the very facts you try to prove me wrong with.

From the words posted by you the club have been trying to keep him but are frustrated how he has swerved signing so they are letting him know they will sell him as they will have no choice last year contract etc...

I've never said this to anyone, but Ross (to me) has always come across as unintelligent in interviews. I've silently chastised myself for thinking this and thought perhaps my perceptions were wrong, but his decision not to sign the deal on the table with Everton only reaffirms my belief. I say all this without the slightest amount of bitterness as I know that Everton, now more than ever, will be successful going forward; with or without Ross Barkley. The same cannot be said for Ross post-Everton. I'm afraid he is about to discover, like so many have before him, that the grass is not always greener in pastures new.

Yes, and he's pals with Kane and Alli, apparently, and I think Ross is the kind who wants to be with his mates - he needs that warmth. Funnily enough, and I know it sounds daft, but Eddie Howe and Bournemouth would be a great fit. Softly spoken, nurturing manager, no pressure, the chance to be the undisputed star, a sleepy town far away from Liverpool.

He wont have to drop to the likes of Bournemouth when Spurs, Arsenal and maybe one of the other top six clubs will want him.

FFS, people calling Ross a snake, there is obviously more to it than him just wanting to leave his club. We do mot know what exactly but, it must be a big thing to him.

Every blues dream, to wear that shirt and run out onto the Goodison turf.

Not sure how I'll feel about him if he does leave.

Ha Ha Ha.

Ok mate. I'll leave it at that. You must be tired after your journey home from the hair splitting convention.

T'is true mate, none of us know the ins and outs of what's happened, it's a sad day when one of our own leave.

I'm not devastated in the sense we are losing a first teamer but that we are losing quality from the squad. I think we need to make another 3 or 4 more quality signings. Its not necessarily all about the first team. All successful teams have players that don't belong on the bench, on their bench. Ross wouldve still been nice to keep.
