Frankly anyone who is complaining about our ambition when it happens that most of our spending is funded by 2 wantaways in Lukaku and Stones is missing the point.

All but the last 3 of those 15 will feature for the first team whereas you can only say we miss a couple of those that have gone (and both wanted out).
Also worth noting that most of the expenditure was done before Lukaku emptied his locker. So we are spending and not waiting for the funding.

Amazing to be actually claiming to know more about the club's expenditure than the Everton manager.

Don't understand why people are so happy to say 'oh he's just putting pressure on the board, it worked last time'.
He's passing the buck basically, taking the Benitez stance of forgetting that £100m of signings is still £100m of signings regardless of the amount recouped elsewhere, and effectively saying we shouldn't expect results unless the board give him a load more money and he has the exact squad he would like. He did the same after we got knocked out of the cup with an absolutely pathetic display at home - deflected the blame away from himself by blaming a lack of signings.
I'm disappointed by our lack of recent business myself, but the manager should not be praised for this attempt to absolve himself of blame. He needs to take full responsibility for our performances this season, and I'm a little concerned that he's getting his excuses in early.

There's no inconsistency. He had the benefit of a once in a generation selling of the family silver and has blown it on mediocre players.
That doesn't affect any critique of Moshiri not finding investment outside player sales.
I have absolutely no interest in that Dave. Just want to make sure you don't lose sight of your holistic approach to the issues.
