not sure what to make of this.. but if true suppose that it asks more questions than answers. fits in with lots of what some fans moaning about, but then do you want to hold Ashley and Newcastle up as examples of how to run a club. club in real crisis by looks of it. doubt Kone would have considered them

About time we stopped messing around with the fee and signed him then. So disappointing that we're haggling over £5m.

took a chance on him when others were dithering and played him in a formation that suits him so maybe we are getting him cheap if he has said he will only come here. he isn't short of confidence and down to earth and could easily end up first choice with him and Mirallas both tucked in behind a more central forward. could be threatening Pienaar's position more than anything

Hope not. He's a centre forward plain and simple as far as i'm concerned. Looks much less dangerous out wide and whilst he's fast his dribbling skills aren't as good as people make out, his crossing is also very poor. We need another wide forward to compliment Mirallas (ideally Moses) but Kone should be competing for the central stiker's role with Jelavic
 
It's a bit of a joke now this, taking far too long to sort out. We probably haven't got a carrot to spend until someone is sold first.

think he tends to cut in if he plays a little wider and if both him and Mirallas play that way then it gives more license to Baines and Coleman, whose delivery can be spot on. I think a central forward may end up being more of a Rooney or Honda type who can receive it and return it around the box. can't get those two but am guessing that's how we would play if Kone starts with Pienaar and Jela squad players. both seemed to struggle when Mirallas played. anyway can play either way so decent player to bring in

Its very odd to see Honda Keisuke used as a false 9. Even he has been playing like that in South Africa 2010, his skills are better used at as a passer than a creator - or at most a deep-lying creator.
