It really must be on the back of the extra TV cash. People are forgetting that there is an accounting loss to cover, which was 9 million pounds last time round and is likely to have been similar in the last year.
The new TV deal comes in installments, with the guaranteed part coming this Summer, I believe? And the rest coming next Summer, and is dependent on final league placing and TV appearances.
The good news is that we don't need to sell a player, or if we do then 10million of it doesn't have to go towards covering a loss, which SHOULD mean that it all gets spent on squad improvement.

I'm more surprised people still get upset that we don't sign someone STRAIGHT AWAY!
I mean, there's loads of intelligent posters on here, who know we're skint, who know we haven't got a pot to piss in (and if we did have one, it would be a rented one from the council) and yet for some reason are astounded that we don't act like a normal club where a board of directors invest their own actual money into the football club they own, instead of using it as some sort of corporate ISA account that you pay into once in the hope you might make a killing again someday.
We are what we are because we allow Kenwright and the board to be what they be.
