It's depressing because he's right.

It's a certain Kenwright will come out in the summer and say "We've worked really hard and given Martinez £30million". Despite £27 mil from Fellaini, £12 mil from Jelavic and Anichebe, TV money, perhaps additional TV money, PL prize funding, perhaps FA money.

Kenwright will then bang on about how he's supporting Martinez. NOW is the time to invest in the squad, when we're in a position to push forward, perhaps get that 4th spot, perhaps get into Europa league via FA cup or league finish. We need players to help!

Who knows, maybe Martinez will suffer for 2nd second syndrome and we will finish midtable next season. It's also half depressing that Martinez has singled our browning as a first team action next season. Does that mean he's our midfielder we certainly need?

Lacina Traore is the thread title. But yet again it´s been hijacked to tell us all how bad the club is , how we are being run into the ground . It´s the same with every thread . It´s a clear as crystal. Some on here could not see the positives from a lottery win . It´s been the same for years . Some of the cynicism is astounding . And quite frankly boring . It happens on nearly evey single thread .

I understand its frustrating listening to Blue Union talk but there's money there an we need a striker but nothing seems to be happening, Lukaku gets a injury we want a quality replacement!

If we offer Baines (and Barkley) new contracts, how much extra in wages will they be earning in a year?

Now as much as the deduction of Heitinga's wage. He's on like 60k a week as it is. If we bump bother their wages up for 15k, I think they'll be happy, and we'll have 30k towards someone else.

More than they were earning on their original deals obviously. But then we are going to lose Heitinga's 65K a week (alledgedly that amout), plus whatever Jelavic was on, Fellaini, Anichebe etc etc.

We can't just pick 2 random players contracts and suggest they are the cause for this, can we?

By the way, I hope I am 100% wrong of course and we bring some decent players in, but they do have form for making money go away, you agree?

Theres still a week left FFS! The deal hasn´t fell through! If we are in this situation in a weeks time yes it may be cause for concern . But we are not . And it is all a bit like the sky is falling don´t you think?

Getting back on topic, if the loan agreement is such that Traore couldn't be called back even if there was a striker injury at Monaco surely it makes no difference now that there is because it's a scenario Monaco would have considered. It's if he could be called back then we ought to worry.

I wonder if there is another player waiting in the wings if we lose out here?

I think we're all in an agreement that it's 50/50 at the moment, but I doubt this is RM's only target. There's 8 days left in the window, that's plenty of time considering we signed Lukaku about a hour before the window closed. Deals start getting rushed through on the final day, I think that's when we'll see someone.

I have to respond to your little tirade here Bill, by saying that you seem quite upset about an absolute hometruth. Have you ever looked at our net spend per season...what am I saying Bill, of course you have...you've sanctioned it...

Dave has every right to question what the hell is going on...where is the money disappearing to, why are we AT LEAST not spending what we receive, and yes...YOU ARE CORRECT...it has been the same for years...
