Last Film You Watched

Think I've just turned a film off in the record time ever. 'Top Dog' on Netflix. The only reason I was going to leave it on longer than the first 10 minutes was to see if Danny Dyer turned up. Absolutely horrific -6 out of 10

After really enjoying one of the greatest movies of all time last week, predator; I decided to treat the tart to a night at the flix to see this new one

Good god what an absolute pile of Hollywood BS, from start to finish it tears up Arnies Classic movie and puts it right in the bin

@Zatara can get bent saying it was a good movie, I’ll be heading over to his thread with spoilers to warn people of the crap that’s awaiting.

1/10

The 1 star was only for the bits of humour

Searching 9/10 - For someone who doesn't use social media a lot I wasn't sure if I would be interested in this, it is told completely through the perspective of laptops screens and mobile phones (Facebook, Snapchat, Instagram etc.) but it drew me in very quickly and thought it was really well done, very entertaining and would definitely recommend.

Summer of 84 8/10 - I love films based in the 80s, great feelings of nostalgia about a time which I have fond memories of. Really enjoyed it, a bit like a combination of the Goonies, the Burbs and Stranger Things (without the sci-fi). Nothing ground breaking but it's a good sometimes creepy thriller, with a half decent twist at the end.

Circumstances bring a struggling writer, a car thief and an animal rights activist together and their journey across New Zealand draws more attention to themselves than would be absolutely ideal. Car chases, humour and the hope of redemption keep the film moving along nicely. Enjoyable.

Horror Channel last night - Demonic.

Good cast - Maria Bello and Frank Grillo as the leads.

Follows the Police investigation into a mass murder of a paranormal group at the venue of a previous murder.

One survivor and the video footage is recovered.

A mix of the Blair Witch and 7even.

Good in parts - old fashioned false scares and suspense, but ultimately becomes cliched, which lets it down.
