Last Film You Watched

Having watched Outlaw King (Netflix) recently, got into a discussion with my son last night re most historically inaccurate films:

My nominees:
- Braveheart (one critic pointed out that the Battle of Stirling Bridge could have used a bridge in the movie)
- U-571 (could America steal a British achievement more blatantly?)
- Pocahontas (she was 10 when they met)

His thoughts:
- 300 (rounded down from 7,000)
- Pearl Harbor - (what a piece of dung)

Thoughts? Other nominees? Honorable mentions?
300 relates to the number of Spartans involved which is still thought to be accurate. The rest of the army was made up of soldiers from other Greek states

Agreed re that, but seems you are picking at a nit in my comment rather than the overall historical accuracy of the film:
- Spartans were not defenders of freedom & democracy
- Battle Rhino, really?
- costume stylings from Las Vegas
and more.

It's based on a comic though. Was never intended to be historically accurate, just inspired by a historical event. Don't think you can assess it on historical accuracy the way you can with the others you listed.

I am probably a bit of a stickler re history in movies - I like good fiction in movies, but do get a bit tight when history is so horribly butchered.

...Film Stars Don’t Die in Liverpool. True story of a famous Hollywood star who spent some of her last days in Liverpool. Nostalgic and fascinating if you come from the City but perhaps not if you don’t.

Ha, watched this the other night myself.

Not much of liverpool in it which quite dissapointed me but a good watch.

I mentioned this while out with work a while ago and 2 Greeks took massive offence to me bringing it up. Apparently it's a part of history they're immensely proud of.

An article ranking the 'cohen' brothers films for @Joey66 very very subjective and we will all disagree on the rankings, but also some reminders of films I'd forgotten I want to watch again

I started to watch the new COEN cowboy film in 8 different story's the other night the first two chapters of the short stories were very very good , the third was a bit iffy , but hey it's 240 minutes long so easy to return to.....
Some great star actors in it a real P take of Westerns since Roy Rogers to the Clint Eastwood days very funny and brilliantly executed .....
