Mandy - Cage goes full on PYSCHO CAGE !

Very strange film, almost Gonzo in style.

Cage and his missus living peacefully off the grid in the mountains somewhere in the States, when his missus is kidnapped and murdered by a cult.

Cue Cage going into full into REVENGE CAGE mode !

The first hour is full as ditchwater and filmed almost in a dream sequence. The second hour is full on, brutal, ultra violent and not for the faint hearted.

An acquired taste.

The first half really is snoozville, then it just goes full on bonkers for the last hour.

The cult, the murderous biker gang that have taken that much acid, that they`ve transformed Hell Raiser Pinhead stylee . Then there`s Cage, who makes his part in Kick Ass look sedate compared to this.

They should`ve just ditched the first hour and just let Cage go on the rampage for the full two hours lol

Given full licence to overact, there really is no one better.

" Mandy " is possibly his best to date, as he takes a bucket load of coke and acid during his rampage

* If you haven`t watched it, disregard how weird and slow the first hour is.

Netflix - Outlaw King, nice film, Edward II set up as proper foil for Robert the Bruce. Don't rely on it to help you pass your history final exam, but enjoy it with a decent Islay single malt.

The scene when he absolutely loses it in the bathroom on his own is classic Cage

Thought the film was pretty rubbish to be honest though. Some great fight scenes but not much else in my opinion. Apart from Cage of course

You`ve got to bear in mind that it`s filmed " Gonzo " style, so it was never going to be for everyone.

It`s a bit like Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas - you`re either into it or you`re not.

Same as Cage, he`s either brilliant or total garbage, there is no middle ground.

The one good thing that I can say about Cage is that he annoys me a little less than Jeff Goldblum.

yeah i think he was more interested in the minor details than the story line accuracies, but I'm such a fan of stephen dillanes that any loose connection to him I'll end up researching and was glad to see the praise over the effort made towards this project

Thanks for the recommendation. I watched this the other day and really enjoyed it. Lots of blood and gore. Doesn't paint the English in a good light. Where we really that bad?
