Last Film You Watched

Green Book - Very good - 8.5 out of 10
Bird Box - pretty dumb concept but passed the time at least - 5.5 out of 10

Thought it was woeful, just unbelievably lazy and reliant purely on CGI and token nostalgia which nerds can wet themselves over. I remember people saying 'its not just CGI, its deep and got a message'... shame that message was literally the most generic and obvious message one could imagine for a film about virtual reality.

'spend more time in real life rather than in virtual reality man'

so deep...

3 out of 10 for me, everything I hate about modern cinema rolled into one giant hamfest.

I may be exaggerating a little for dramatic effect here FYI...
You can't look for meaningful messages in a film like RPO, you take it as a pure popcorn movie.

I liked it, it entertained me for a couple of hours, that's it, it was Spielberg's attempt at an Avatar movie.

Mary Poppins.

Everyone here does a pretty good job of it and its a fairly enjoyable, if completely unnecessary sequel.

Emily Blunt though. Probably the best actress going atm.

Saw this on NYE. Obviously the songs aren't as good as the original's, but still really good imo. Lin-Miranda is great, but clearly no Van Dyke. Story might actually be better (?), and overall I really liked it. Looking back however,I feel that a lot of the scenes are mimicking ones from the original (especailly having rewatched that since then).

I watched When Harry Met Sally for the first time earlier, been watching loads of classic 80s recently.

Billy Crystal's character, Harry, is just a nob. Meg Ryan looks fine in this with all that big hair.

My mum walked in to hand me my clean washing during the fake orgasm scene.

Overall, 7/10.

One thing I took away from it was how good the original casting was. Miranda, although good was way creepier to Van Dyke's affable clown.

Haha, dunno about creepy, but even at 90-odd Van Dyke out danced him! :o :D Original casting was great tho. Every member is spot on. Nothing wrong with any of the members of the new cast, but they're not a patch on the originals.
