Last Film You Watched

Paris, Texas

After watching this for the fourth or fifth time, I am pleased to announce it is the greatest film ever made. As is Nastassja Kinski.

Some good recommendations tho. Love a lot of far east cinema, so will defo have to check out some of those Korean films. We should have a separate World Cinema thread I reckon, somewhere to recommend classic and new foreign films.

nice thread idea, i'd be interested in everyone's top 10 non-english films and why. after oldboy i think i'd probably have the spanish zombie-horror REC 1/2 in my all-time rankings.

You said it’s on Netflix lol
It`s a Netflix production from 2010 - so must be on there somewhere lol

that's what i don't like about online stream options...they don't stay online all that long. we still buy dvd's, on the used market they're supercheap, and we then have all the time in the world to watch them. we're not arsed having to wait a few years to watch the latest films (as brand new films are still expensive on dvd/bluray...not paying those prices!).

I just got a Mubi subscription and it's absolutely brilliant.

Ah yes, think I've checked that site out before, but didn't sign up due to the cost.

A Moment of Romance (Hong Kong 1990) Got a real soft spot for that film. It’s funny, sad, kooky, epic and iconic all rolled into a generic yet incredibly original film.
