The rain, it raineth every day
Surreal Betty Boop ; sly dig at Walt Disney allegedly being a Freemason.
The Usual Suspects again. So well done.
Shazam is a really good film, I was quite surprised by how much I enjoyed it. Seems like they're finally finding their feet with these DC films now. It's fun without being to dark, the story is good and he villain is quality. The ending was a nice set-up for the sequel (you'll spot the villian of the next film early on if you look closely). All in all, great viewing and light fun film. Will be watching again soon.
I chose Shazam.
I chose incorrectly.
Enjoyed Highwaymen, the fact that there was really very little of Bonnie and Clyde helped the story,I love Woody though he isnt a great actor he just seems to pick roles that suit him and kind of plays himselfClassic. Theres a bit where they literally slow zoom into a floor of a skyscraper to some stirring synths in the soundtrack - something so simple yet just so well done as what we call an ‘establisher’. Almost similar to when we see Dana’s apartment in Ghostbusters now i think about it. Singer is a bad human but thats a great flick.
The Highwaymen. Very good, love some Costner and Harrelson. Was googling the real character and what a life. They should just make a movie about him and not just the Bonnie and Clyde stuff. He’s killed literally 70 crooks and been shot 17 times cleaning up Texas from the Wild West.
Don’t Breathe. Cliched but a good thriller.
Star Trek Beyond Crap. Dunno why I sat through that again. Utter Bizz.
What did you think was terrible about it mate? It just seemed a fun lighthearted film to me that was fairly respectful to source material yet accessible to new viewer's. It's hardly ground-breaking but I honestly don't see anything to hate about it.It's terrible - trust me.

Were did you manage to see a film for £5.74?!Story-line was naff, casting wasn't great (Mark Strong is far too cliché), the humour wasn't really humourous. Reminded me more of a film like Scooby Doo than something with like a £100m budget.
Like the 7 deadly sins just looked so cheaply done. Djimon Hounsou's character looked like a fancy dress costume.
Absolute waste of £5.74 and 2 hours of my existence.

I didn't think the storyline was anymore naff then 99% of comic related movies personally. Just seemed a typical comicbook based movie that aimed at being more family friendly and succeeded.
I thought they cast it really well TBH, I didn't think anyone was bad or stoodout as worse then everyone else. They could of done the seven deadly sins more like the comic and used people I suppose but then everyone would of just complained and accused DC of being lazy. They looked no worse then most of these silly CGI things.
I mean, it was very true to the recent source material so I don't really know what you were expecting from it.
To each their own though mate. While it'll never be thought of as a classic or even great film I thought it was an entertaing film personally.
The Hobbit films are utterly atrocious. The LOTR movies are masterpieces but The Hobbit triolgy was a slow motion train wreck!I’m not too fussed how accurate it is if it’s a crap film. The Hobbit is brilliant and that isn’t anything like the book.

One respected the source material, the other spat on it. To each their own though.Well hating Hobbit, loved Shazam.
Says it all for me; let’s leave it here.
