Right so I watched Blade Runner 2048. All the way through on a long flight.
Absolutely turd, a mess of edgy cinematography. How anyone can say this is a great film is beyond me, it’s filled to the brim with comedy.
Original was a hard act to follow.Right so I watched Blade Runner 2048. All the way through on a long flight.

One of my favourite films, especially notable for Linda Hayden (only 17 at the time) and the buxom dancing girl Yvonne Paul ; conveniently shown on the sleeve of the, as you say, excellent and very atmospheric soundtrack.Just watched The BloodvOn Satans Claw, great early 70s British horror, about some small village and some witch/satanists set around 1700.
Soundtrack was great, didn't think it's as good as Witchfinder General but Vincent Price isn't in it!!
Going to watch this tomorrow in London. From the director of Hereditary which I absolutely adored. A24 have the horror genre on absolute lock, Hollywood getting schooled hard.

Hereditary was good tbf, Not scary though and surely the point of horror is to frighten the audience. I think studios have to stop with the orchestral stabs, the jump scares, the grinning reflections, audio cues (the clop sound) ...and finally learn that showing more ...lessens the final impact.
Not meaning to [Poor language removed] the film, It was deffo enjoyable just curious how loads found it scary.
It's cool mate, my opinion, I think it has more to do with my age than anything, I grew up with older movies and nothing has touched them since, my daughter on the other hand struggled to sleep after watching hereditary so...I didn’t find it that scary either but just consider it to be a top film with a great feeling of “uneasiness”, this is something A24 “horrors” films seem to have nailed. I’m also a big fan of “The Witch” and “It Comes at Night” which again fit into this category of horror which relies more on making the viewer feel uncomfortable rather than outright scared.
Old school horror never really did it for me if I’m honest, I prefer the more arthouse stuff.
Midsommar was good btw, darker than the trailer suggests
