Last Film You Watched

Just watched Inception, wasn't into it but thought the soundtrack was great, good acting, just found it to hard to follow.
I know some think Tarantino can be all over the place, this seemed on another level again, bouncing from fantasy to reality.

Think it's a film you need to watch multiple times, the more you understand from the beginning the better it becomes.

Also watched once upon a time in Hollywood.

Boring - tried to fit three films into one - end result is crap. I hope one day I can convince people to fund celebrities to indulge my fetishes.

You could argue that it was a pertinent comment on the state of modern America and the hypocrisy of suburban civilised society. Obviously any such comment needs promiscuous school girls whose inappropriate relationships with adults are only the start of the secrets being kept. Also, things need to get very violent and bloody.

This is that film...

Wind River.

Stunning film.

A teenage Native American girl is found dead, barefoot and raped, high up on a frozen mountain in Wyoming.

The FBI send one inexperienced officer to investigate, as the death of Native Americans gets low priority.

Jeremy Renner acts as the tracker and body guard for the FBI agent, as they unravel the truth.

It’s a film that sounds dull, but is the total opposite.

Jeremy Renner gives the performance of a life time, supported by a very good cast.

Beautifully filmed, in a stunning location and the film builds the suspense right up to the end.

Can’t recommend this enough.

On Netflix ( not a Netflix film )

Aladdin remake. I actually really like all these "live action" remakes Disney are doing. To me they bring a fresh spin on old favourites, and give them a new lease of life/new audience. This one was good, probably not as good as the original, and as with the Lion King they removed my favourite line, but I love seeing these films with 'real' people/animals. Will Smith does a good take on the Genie, although with a few too many "Will Smith-isms", and the leads were good once I got used to their faces. :);) Wasn't a big fan of the new 'songs' though.
