Last Film You Watched

Once upon a time in Hollywood

Pretty good. Some bits were my favourite parts by him. It was a great world and he still did his short snappy cuts and had his foot fetish firmly on show.

The editing was a bit weird in places, he obviously loved it and got too excited.

Not a huge Tarentino fan but probably my second fave after Jackie Brown. Again, isn't that Tarentino.

Good evening Sam how are you doing today.

Watched the Sextuplets film on Netflix. Its supposed to be a comedy starring Marlon Wayans, where as an adult, about to become a father he learns that he was one of 6 children when he was born, he never knew this and grew up as an orphan. He then sets off on a journey to meet them all. Wayans plays all of the 6 Sextuplets in the film and while the technology used has clearly come on leaps and bounds from other films (coming to America, Back to the future, White Chicks, etc) the standard of this film is very poor, a bad script, slack plot and laughs are in short supply, I can't recommend it. 1 out of 5

Allegedly based on a true story

Allegedly based on a true story

I remember reading an article in Empire magazine about 20 years ago called "Lights, Camera, Bullsh!t" and it focused on all these films that had been made "based on a true story" and how far from the truth they really were, it was shocking really that some of them still used the line "based on a true story" when 90% of it was made up. Its stuck with me and I always roll my eyes when I see that tagline

Anyway, true story or not the film is not worth watching in my opinion

Hobbs and Shaw is completely ludicrous and bonkers but good fun if you disengage your brain. The Rock and Statham work well togetherand Vanessa Kirby is good too.
Watched it last night. As you say, some bits were totally ridiculous, and I felt they forced the hate between H&S a bit much, but it was good fun and some decent laughs at times too. Would watch again.

Weathering With You.

Another excellent film, impressive details and animation on another level. Story was good, fell into a few of the same traps as Shinkai’s previous work but on the whole a good big screen experience. 7.5 out of 10.
