Just been to see 1917.
Not loving it as everyone else tbh but it is exceptionally made.
Just thought there were too many war movie cliches, a slight lack of depth to the story and the various cameos from well known actors took me out of the film at crucial moments.
Still, it’s a pretty excellent film for the most part but it didn’t blow me away like Dunkirk did.

Chaotic in a good way. Sandler’s performance is great. His character is both charming and annoying. And I like Julia Fox. Apparently her first full length movie role? Think we’ll see a lot more of her in the years to come. 8/10

Just seen this, its great! The story i had never heard of, its very sad really when you look deep into it, an easy target and the FBI more interested in pinning it on someone, as for the media witch hunt, just horrible, great film.
Also glad i hadnt read about it as it gave me a good eliment of suspense not knowing how it panned out

Seen The Rhythm Section earlier, the one that has bombed at the box office. Despite no one going to see it, it's not bad, I've seen far worse films take good money.
Thing is it's not much fun, the character build up is a hard watch, prostitute addicted to drugs....etc but it picks up.

Watched 1917 tonight for a second time. Forgot to mention last time how good the score was. Film is still a 9/10.
