Last Film You Watched

I've just signed up for this for the month's trial, so will see how it goes - after that, £50 seems pretty decent value for a year. Like yourself, I still buy way too many discs, but doing this might prevent me from splurging on Arrow titles whenever they go on sale. Plus, it's much more convenient than hunting around for ages to find the right disc...

I've done that a couple of times. Managed to keep it to stuff I know stands up to a few viewings but it's very tempting to gamble on stuff as their sales spiel is pretty good.

Just been looking at their site and they're steadily putting more 4k stuff on disc so hopefully the streaming service will follow suit. I think the new UHD of Tremors might be a purchase when the next sale comes around.

Also, I think that if they already own the streaming rights to something, then it gets a free 4K upgrade on iTunes when they release that film on 4K disc. I had King of New York in my iTunes library, and it got upgraded to 4K when they released the UHD disc. On this basis, I'm thinking of cancelling my pre-order for the UHD of Donnie Darko (it's £35, plus I've lost count of how many times I've bought that film) in the hope that the iTunes copy I own will get the upgrade to 4K.

Quite enjoyed The Meg.

The plot that there is a massive shark thing from prehistoric times that has never been discovered until something, something etc is a stretch but I was happy to suspend disbelief given it's a big old genre movie but asking me to believe that The Stath's buff and ripped character had spent the last five years bumming round a tropical island doing nothing but drinking beer and looked like that?
Not a bad film, but expected more after reading the Steve Alten books, great detail but far fetched. The film left me a little disappointed, very good special effects though.
