Thought hateful eight was just a long pretentious money making vehicle...seemed like a poorly made satire.

Didnt fancy jessee james/robert ford one either but each to their own etc

Donnie Darko for the first time in years.

Aged a bit more than I expected but still pretty great. Surprised how many scenes I can remember.

It's no Southland Tales, but what is.

I've still not seen it, ex. of mine was really into it and for some reason I pretended I had seen it because it was so important to her.

I also ended up at a Busted concert with her, but I don't want to talk about that.

Watched it once years ago and never really got what all the fuss was about.... that said I’d prob watch it again now just to see if my tastes have changed enough to view it more favourably......

Anyway, is Donnie Darko worth a watch?

Definitely. One of my favourites, and I'm looking forward to the upcoming 4K disc of it. If you have a choice, go for the original theatrical version, as I think the director's cut is a bit of a mess; while it doesn't completely ruin the film, there are some decisions in there that really lessen the impact, IMHO. Not a film that needed to be tinkered with, but I suppose when a bit of extra funding came along, Kelly couldn't leave it alone.

Watched Run on Netflix last night. It was OK - quite tense in places, but it has that TV movie feel to it. A nice crisp 90 mins, in any case.

The Departed. Seen this several times now and is still a great watch. So well cast: The best Dicaprio was that 2005-2010 angry, confused Dicaprio. Become a bit of a smug bloater these days.

Its alright but the film it’s based on , Infernal Affairs is better and thats only the start of the trilogy
