Last Film You Watched

Watched 2 good films last last night, Charade, 60s Hitchcock with Audrey Hepburn and Cary Grant, bit of a crime caper with a group of ppl chasing some cash, it's a good one, possibly under rated as I dont see it mentioned as often as other Hitchcoks.
Also Good Time, great film from 2017 with Patterson the younger guy from The Lighthouse. To look at some of it reminded me of Drive. Crime thriller the jist being one brother trying to get the other out of prison, turns into a bizarre series of events, bit dark and messed up, I loved it
I watched the lighthouse on LSD. Don't do that.

Haha how is your psyche not irreparably scarred from that experience? I found it incredibly disturbing and unsettling when watching sober. I watched fight club on acid and it was engrossing but I wouldn't embark on the lighthouse on mind altering substances, just way too harrowing.
I was ok during the film but I think it set the tone for the rest of the trip

I tend to watch darker films/tv series but after Mondays game I thought put a bit of comedy on cheer yaself up,I picked

Now cast your mind back to the Wimbledon game,Horne smashes his shot into the upper St end,Holdsworth slots 2 of the chances he had,you leave the ground to find your car burnt out,the buses on strike and you have lost all your cash, you walk home and it starts hail stoning, you enter your street to see the remnants of your house smouldering,a note drifts by in the smoke, its from your bird saying shes run off with your dad and took the dog with her, that would be fun compared to this dog turd of a film

I will not allow anyone on this forum to diss such a classic as this.

Watched a really interesting tribology of films with Bill Nighy as a British Spy. Netflix.
Not a gun in sight.
His name in the films is Johnny Worriker.
The Cast includes :
Christopher Walken
Michael Gambon
Ralph Fuennes
Rachel Weiss
Wynoner Ryder.
Helen Bonham Carter
Nighy is great as a cool principled MI5 Operative who discovers corruption in the Govt with Fiennes as the PM.

The Outsider.

It had all the potential to be a good film, but unfortunately Jared Leto decided to cast himself as Patrick Bateman, but without the charisma of Christian Bale.

Set in post WW2 Japan, Leto plays an American army officer, who befriends a Japanese gangster whilst in jail, who looks after him upon release. Eventually inducting him into the Yakuzu and a gang war.

It’s sleek, very violent, but Leto just doesn’t cut it in the lead.

Swap Leto for Bale and it’d have been a good film.
