Last Film You Watched

Just got back from seeing The Many Saints of Newark. As a big fan of The Sopranos, I really enjoyed it, and thought it was immaculately done. Strangely enough, it is probably an easier film for someone who never watched the show, as it's a prequel that plays fine as a standalone story - but if you saw the series, you're frequently making the connections and trying to remember how certain things played out, who killed who, and so on. Anyway, it's solid stuff, and I hope it gets a bit of trade before Bond takes over most of the multiplex.
 
The Father...scary good. Hopkins, man I have no words for you. Don't bloody dare to die just yet.

The film is a piece of art. But thing is, I'm now more afraid of aging :(

Saw a trailer of this the other day and thought it looked solid. Will definitely check it out now. Cheers!
 
Watched BAC Nord, a very decent thriller about three Marseille cops trying to bust a drugs ring, and the internal affairs investigation that follows. Well made and nicely acted, with some genuinely tense moments. Strangely, it's still playing in French cinemas, where it's been doing good business, but it suddenly appeared on UK Netflix (search for The Stronghold). Definitely worth a look.

Massively underrated by many who focus on a couple of scenes.

I'll give it a rewatch, not seen for a good while.

All I can say, is that Bruce Willis must be really really skint, as this is comically bad

I’ve seen much better episodes of Red Dwarf.

Subjected ourselves to this last night. I figured Bruce Willis and Thomas Jane, can't be that bad surely?
Jeezus what a stinker, absolutely nothing to recommend it. Reckon there was actual hooch in Bruce's hip flask to get him through this.

Makes Alien Covenant look like... well... 'kin Alien!
