Operation Finale, love anything with Ben Kingsley in it and he was on form, the performances are excellent throughout.

Watched The Guilty before, Jake Gyllenhaal is one of my favourite modern era actors so was looking forward to this.
Remake of a Danish film, with only 3 people on screen in it and Gyllenhaal is on screen for the entire time which is interesting.
Aside from that film was ok, about a fella who works in a 911 call center dealing with a girl who has been kidnapped.

Uncut Gems (2017). If four people talking very fast all at once about seven different things is your thing then this is the movie for you. I found it tiresome, until the final act, which takes a surprising turn.
Found the soundtrack intrusive as well, but that's probably the 'old man shouts at clouds' in me coming out.

Watched a newish film on my firestick, might still be on the Cinema, called "Old" definitely worth a watch, horrific in parts, though the ending could have been better.
Took the 2 girls 8 & 10 to see Jungle Cruise, they enjoyed it, I enjoyed it.

It's a real thing; cinemas (I'm not getting into that whole movie theatre nonsense) are deafening.
I took my girls, same ages to yours, to see something. Youngest asked to leave because it was making her ears hurt. Don't get me started on the adverts on tv being a different volume to the thing you're watching either.

I hear you brother, when I was in NZ, a minority party leader parlayed his vote share and got the labour coalition across the finish line, he ended up with one of the top 3 jobs below PM.
One of his promises was to get these loud Ad guys to toe the line.
Never happened but he won a lot of friends...for a while.
Anyway, the Ad people came up with the story that Ads are made at a different frequency or some such rubbish.
No, they make them loud to get your attention - nothing else.
