Last Film You Watched

My missus went to watch it this week and she said “it was okay, little underwhelmed”

Honestly considered binning her on the spot.
I’ll probably try catching it again in a couple of weeks.
I swear there were kids about 8 years old watching it where I was. I mean, it’s not particularly violent by today’s standard but it still has its moments and they can’t have had a clue what was going on.

Tough one. I think he will really like it but probably won’t get as much out of it. It is a masterpiece like.
I think the storyline might be too deep and heavy to be honest. It doesn’t have that obvious fantasy action appeal that Star Wars does.
By this if he’s looking to go I’ll bring him but otherwise wait on Sky/Disney.

It has been highly recommended to me like, no excuse not to nip over myself to the cinema.

Yeh it’s only a 12A rating but kids won’t have a bloody clue what’s going on.

Good timing this Jimmy.

Got a 12 year old lad who is Star Wars daft. Saw the reviews for this referencing it.

Is it for him or too far removed from Star Wars?

If hes going with his Dad then my wager is that he'd enjoy himself.

Its one of those movies where you feel like youre watching the screen and concentrating for 20mins but then it pulls you in and suddenly youre at the end of the movie.

If hes the type to sit quietly and watch then he'll love it...but if hes not the type to concentrate and gets bored easily then he'll not enjoy it i think.

This was better than I thought it would be :

The Curse of La Llorona.

Set in the early 70’s, following the murder of two Hispanic children under her care, an American social worker and her family are targeted by a malevolent ancient Mexican spirit.

Good cast, well put together and a good use of suspense to ratchet up the creepiness, rather than loads of CGI.

Netflix.
Been hovering on this, will give it a look now. Ta.

Finally got round to watching No Time to Die.

I really enjoyed, thought it was a great ending to the whole storyline. Loads of little easter eggs tying in some old movies, I thought it actually flew by and didn’t feel like the 2hr 45 it was on for.

My only issue was Remi Malik not being utilised enough and I did not like that Lashana Lynch playing a double 00 agent, very poor actress

Going to try and catch Dune this afternoon
