Everyone is different but to me that's a low score for number 3. I would put that above 2 (& 4).
Totally right about 5 though, awful film.
Copshop, new on prime.
I think they made it up as they went along.
Essentially it is.Yeah, I watched #3 and #2 again, in that order.
I definitely still prefer #2, and imo it's held up very well over the years, as the director takes time to build up the story, ratcheting up the tension and the stakes, and it feels more like a continuation of the story from DH1 with most of the characters returning, whereas DH3 seems like it could have been any action movie that just happens to have a DH label on it.
I read that McTiernan purposefully didn't want DH3 to go over the same stuff that was in the first 2 movies, so I don't blame it for being different, but I just prefer the "working class fish out of water" formula that the 2nd movie didn't try to deviate from.
Saw Red Rocket, the new one from Sean Baker (Tangerine, The Florida Project). Basically about an adult film star who leaves the business and LA, after which he returns to his Texas hometown and (sort of) tries to make a go of things. It's great fun, although I think the last 15 mins or so didn't quite work. Still, definitely worth seeing.

Watched Boiling Point earlier, its one of them single take films, like 1917.
The acting in it is superb, the story isnt to in depth, it's basically a few hours in a restaurant and kitchen, but it's a brilliant film, great drama
Yeah its a good film, its a drama but more like a play, like a fly on the wall type thing, it reminded me of "Play For Today" from the 70s. A series of little incidents that might happen in a restraunt and kitchen, maybe not all in one day though, give it a go.Watched up to about 5 mins after the food inspector left.

I seem to remember it being quite average with a couple of enjoyable parts. Not enough to watch it again, or indeed recommend it, but it seemed an agreeable enough way to pass the time and I've definitely seen much worse.Blumhouse’s Fantasy Island, on Netflix.
Ball-achingly terrible, and not in a funny or entertaining way.

I was definitely impressed by it only having a £7M budget. Seen a lot worse looking films for much bigger money.
