Last Film You Watched

I might rewatch this. Can barely remember anything. My mates were all raving about it. I can only remember lots of slow motion scenes with lots of synthwave tracks playing and being a bit underwhelmed by it all.
I remember when it first came out others said similar, and I can understand why to an extent.

My mate said it’s almost like a piece of art as opposed to a film. Trying (but probably failing) to not sound pretentious here, but the way it’s filmed, the soundtrack, the atmosphere and tension it generates made it all a very enjoyable experience for me.

Good to see Bryan Cranston again too.

i mean, it's not far off that/very stylised but very good all the same.

the directors Pusher trilogy is good, and couldn't be more different than the his more recent films. more like a guy running around Copenhagen with a hand held camera (although the third one is a bit more high budget)

I wasn`t expecting much from it, but Goslings performance in it blew me away.

He virtually reprised the role, as Officer K in Blade Runner 2049.

My wife and I watched Ron's Gone Wrong the other night. We were both blown away by how much we enjoyed this and did not expect to laugh as much as we did. It is supposed to be a kids movie, but I feel like a lot of the concepts would go over a kids head, but it could be a good discussion to have with you kids after watching it with them. Highly recommend it.

I was just expecting a few cool car chases if I'm honest lol. I'm really enjoying this 'don't read anything about a film before watching it' thing I've been doing lately.

I've had some great surprises.
Exactly the same for me.

'I like cars, this could be decent. Stuntman gets mixed up with crime"

Wow.

Blade Runner 2049 is my favourite of his along with The Nice Guys, Drive and The Place Beyond the Pines.

The Place Beyond the Pines has passed so many people by.

Incredible.

Gosling is the best about at the moment.

He’s great in everything.

Special mentions for lars and the real girl, blue valentine and first man.

Tonight we watched 2 films:

Metal Lords. A film about 2 kids obsessed with Metal and trying to get a band together for battle of the bands. Really good, great soundtrack and some decent cameos.

A Walk Among the Tombstones. Liam Neeson is a retired cop that is hired to track down two fellas who have kidnapped and killers someone’s wife. It was pretty good to be fair. It was adapted from a novel which I reckon will be a gripping read.

Both are on Netflix.

Gantz:O

I remember reading some of the manga like 15-16 years ago and really liking it. Then finding the anime series, which was disappointing. Glad I finally watched the anime film on Netflix, because it's actually pretty good. Gantz is such a great concept and the potential is enormous, so I hope they make more. 7/10
