Last Film You Watched

A Nightmare on Elm Street - 8/10
A Nightmare on Elm Street Part 2: Freddy's Revenge - 7/10

I hear people hate the sequel, but I actually enjoyed it. The first film is scarier (by far) and utilizes Freddy better, but 'Revenge' was still decent fun. Also I thought the acting was better (less annoying) in the second one. The original is still superior though.
It gets a bad rep for its homoerotic undertones but it’s not a bad film by any stretch, especially compared to later entries

only ever seen the 4th one...watched as an 11-year old at a mate's sleepover who had lax parents lol found it more hilarious than horrific. Started a bender of us neighbourhood-kids watching 80's 18-cert films rented from the equally lax local video-shop. Some proper tosh out there, but we also discovered Robocop & Terminator!

now as a responsible(ish) adult parent myself, i have fun debates with my better-looking half at which age our lad can watch certain films.

For Gremlins i reckon 10 is fine, but she's more like 13/14...

Yeah I get it. Personally I found it really funny when the gay bdsm loving gym teacher got spanked to death in the showers lol I also hear people complaining that the movie breaks the "franchise rule" of having Freddy just appear in your dreams, but I'm not an Elm Street fanatic so I don't really care.

A Nightmare on Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors

Pretty good. Liked the setting, Nancy returning and the kills were more interesting than in the second film. My favorite were probably the "puppet master" kill. 7/10

as soon as the Blumhouse logo popped up my expectations (and heart) sank
Some good stuff from them in earlier years: first 3 Paranormal Activities, Dark Skies, first Insidious/Sinister, The Visit, Unfriended...they even did Whiplash.

Got Split and Get Out on my watch-list, both highly-rated.

I gather a lot of their fare from the last 5 years or so has been junk, tho'.
