Harmless and silly 90 minutes. Sequel/ follow on to the Chevy Chase 80s films following investigative journalist Irwin Fletcher.

It won't tax your brain, doesn't take itself seriously and will breeze by.

Watched 45 mins of 'Where the Crawdads sing' or whatever as gf wanted to see if it was any good

First time in years we haven't finished a film, it was absolutely awful
Went over to my folks place yesterday and all my older aunties and my mom were there getting ready to watch it.
They were all excited and going on about it. I swear, it was like I walked into a hen house!
I did a u-turn out of there, and based on that experience, I already knew it was horrific.

I've never seen someone who lives in the swamps and accused of murder look so well put together, I don't think any mud was displaced in the whole film

Watch Infernal Affairs (the Hong Kong original) if you don't mind foreign films/subtitles. Without being too snobbish, as with most Hollywood remakes of foreign films, it is much better, and not ruined ruined by Nicholson's ridiculously over the top "performance".

Just googled it. The Hollywood version was the Departed. One of the very best films ever made in my opinion. Nicholson's performance was probably more understated than usual. Seen him play much more OTT roles.

Infernal affairs is far superior to the departed.

9pm, freeview channel 41 ('legend'). That'll do nicely.
