Ignore the reviews, this is one of the all time great revenge films and one of the most brutal.

A gang of rednecks car jack a seemingly wealthy young couple, out in the sticks.

The young couple are in fact experienced serial killers and the rednecks have just made a very big mistake.

Luke Evans is standout, as the male serial killer.

Film4 tonight, at 11.35 - worth staying up for.
It reminds me of 'I spit on your grave'.

It is also pretty brutal.

Quantum of Solace probably could've been decent if not for the hyperactive editing, which made it unwatchable for me
I like QOS a lot more than the stick it gets but as you say that editing is choppy as. It'd be good if someone was allowed to sit down and re-edit that with Casino Royale into a single feature.

I enjoy Spectre up until the final act - the whole clearly tacked on Blofeld retcon stuff is atrociously done, bad enough to sully an otherwise decent film. They really dropped a ball on that as after Skyfall it was nicely set up with an established Bond and they should have got back to the self contained nature of previous films.

Can anyone help me with the name of a random movie that I watched and really enjoyed a few years ago, that just randomly popped into my head?

- It’s a British film (think it may have been produced by Film 4)
- Probably released between 2005-2015
- It’s about either a jail break, or a bank robbery (I can’t even remember the synopsis FFS)
- Lead character is about 50-60 years old, male, is either Irish or Scottish and is quite famous (I can picture his face but can’t remember his name either for the life of me) EDIT: the actor I was thinking of was Brendan Gleeson, but I’ve just searched his filmography and can’t see it, so perhaps it wasn’t him
- At the start of the movie he bangs his head trying to get down a tunnel / trapdoor
- The twist ending is that the rest of the events in the movie from that point on didn’t actually happen, he was just imagining it, as he lay there concussed / dying

My brain may have made some or most of the above up, but it’s bugging the life out of me what the movie was called. Cheers
