Watched a film on Netflix tonight called Calibre, Scottish film about two mates who go on a hunting trip in the Scottish Highlands, bit of an Eden Lake vibe though not as gruesome

The Pale Blue Eye
I've seen better murder mysteries for sure, but this was still intriguing. Great performances by Christian Bale, Harry Melling and the supporting cast, and I loved the setting/visuals. Tough one to rate, but it's either a 7/10 or 8/10. I was never bored while watching, so I'll go for the 8.

Found a top 50 best slasher movies of all-time list and decided to watch the highest rated one I'd never seen before. Turned out to be Black Christmas (ranked number 3 on the list). I've heard a lot of people rave on about this one, but 20 minutes into the movie I couldn't understand why, as I felt it was just annoying characters and people losing their mind whenever the cat in the house meowed. I also find it's lack of nudity... disturbing (for a 70s slasher lol), but at least the main girl was very cute.
Luckily the film just became better and better as it went on, and in the end I was loving every second of it. The killer is probably the creepiest slasher villain I've ever seen (or heard, more like). The second half of the movie just had a tense and scary feel throughout and it was great. 8/10

This freaked me and my best mate out as kids. We had an old style attic as well I lived in. Never again.

We watched this on Friday, had never heard of it before we watched it. Thought it was decent.
Half way through it but annoyingly had to go out so still have an hour to go. It’s good but it’s not quite gripping me. Maybe my expectations were too high. Also not really fair to judge until I’ve finished it. Bale and Harry Melling are very good from what I’ve seen so far though.
The original Wrong Turn.
Once the weaker cast members are dispensed with, it becomes a really good film for it’s genre.
The tree tops scenes, in particular are really good cinema and very inventive.
Plus Eliza Dushka is always very watchable.
Just finished. Wasn’t as good as I wanted it to be but Harry smelling is outstanding (just like in The Devil All The Time) and what a banger twist.
But why male models?
