Last Film You Watched

I sat through the whole movie hoping that at some point it would switch up a gear.

Nope... Swerve.

I agree mate!

Absolutely amazing.
For those of you who haven't seen it, It's nothing like 'In Bruges', yet it's equally as good!

You haven't seen any of David Lynch's other movies have you?

Mulholland Drive was also messed up!
I rarely watch films twice, but could make an exception here

X - A sort of modern take on the 70s slasher, was really enjoying it but one scene really grossed me out and the movie seemed to revel in it. Good performances and entertaining, but that one scene would probably prevent me from recommending it to family

Glass Onion - I think a few lads hit the nail on the head already in here. A perfectly bog-average whodunnit. Figured it out easy before the halfway point because of one of the reveals, so I wish it maybe could have thrown a bit more mystery in there, and I thought the ending was a bit silly. But it was a fine way to pass a few hours

The Mrs would still say:

"Who's that guy? I wonder what he's up to."

"You trust this man, even though he just tried to kill me?"

"We are a band of mercenaries, we don't fight for honour, we fight for whoever pays us."

Etc...

At some point I know I am going to rewatch the start of this movie just to confirm how bad the script is.

Aye mate... It's a Ti West film, so you know it's going to be crazy.

The scene you're referring to, it's the scene where the elderly couple get their freak on, right?

Well, now you've got to watch the prequel...

Don't do it to yourself mate! I can confirm that the movie gets worse as it goes on!

How bad? I don't even remember how the story ends. ?

If you want a good evening out Medieval style, might I recommend this for your viewing old chap:

Not bad.. And Paul Giamatti takes an excellent part as the ruthless King John.

Goodfellas @10pm bbc3 tonight
Dirty Harry @9pm 5action (channel 33 freeview)
A Bronx tale @9pm great movies! (channel 34 FV) followed by Donnie Brasco...
The Thing @9pm Legend (FV 41)

Decent!
I always try to explain to my younger nephews and nieces that back then we had real tough guys like Joe Pesci...

They think I'm crazy! Tough guys for them are characters from The Hunger Games and f'ing Twilight!
As well as all the water downed, made for mass viewing, cash-cows from the Marvel or Star Wars movies.

I really do despair for this new generation... ?‍♂️

Mission: Impossible - Fallout

The best of the M:I movies, better than all the Bond movies, quite possibly the best spy action/thriller ever. At least it's the best I've ever seen. Can't think of any action movie stars who're better than T.C. today. Fallout will forever be 10/10 for me.

Oh, and I forgot to mention the score. This movie just sounds so damn great all the way through. Combine that with the exceptional cinematography and you've got an experience of Interstellar proportions.

It's tremendous.

Pearl is great, what's interesting is there is room for another instalment, a lot of years to cover
