Last Film You Watched

Seen Napoleon at the cinema this week was a tough watch & boring at times.
Hard to follow as there are massive times Jumps with little explanation of what's happend

Film was too long due to being boring at times, however also to short as a film just isnt enough time to cover a the full life of Napoleon, it should of been a 10 episode netflix series or just covered a smaller time period

The proper version is four hours long mate and is available to stream.

The cinema version has been cut to death, to shorten it for cinema viewers, hence why the first hour makes no sense at all.

I agree, it was apart from the battle scenes, minus the most important one, Waterloo, it was a load of garbage.

Also, Nicolas Cage should`ve played Napoleon too, at least the film would`ve had a bit of life to it.

Stream on what ?

It's mad that have released a stream at the same time it's on cinemas.

Honestly I don't think I could watch it again

Kampen om Narvik (The English title is just 'Narvik')
Decent enough world war 2 film. Not as good, nor as brutal (in lack of a better word) as 12th Man. This one is somewhat more of a family friendly affair, if you can say that about a war film. Worth a watch, even though it didn't quite manage to show how horrible the battle of Narvik was for the soldiers and civilians in real life.
6/10

Napoleon is an absolute mess.

The first hour has just been destroyed, as a result of having to shorten the film for the cinema, from the four hour streaming version.

As a result, it just bounces from scene to scene, with no continuity.

For some bizarre reason, there`s no attempt to make any of the cast look older than they did from the very start of his reign and his death, even though there`s decades inbetween.

Some of the battle scenes are incredible, as you`d expect with Scott, but the big one, the Waterloo battle, is really underwhelming and I expected much more.

I wasn`t expecting Gladiator levels of brilliance or even historical fact, but this really is a dud.

My advice would be to swerve the cinema and pay to stream the four hour version, At least that way you`re not watching a film with massive holes all over it.

Apple TV plus.

I wouldn’t watch it again either.

I have no clue about Apple TV (never use apple products) so is it fine to watch the 4hr version of Naploeon as a one off or do i need to get some kind of membership?

Can i even watch from a non-apple laptop?

They will probably offer you a free trial & no you don’t need an Apple product to watch it on. You will need to create an Apple ID to login though (I think).

Will it be launched anywhere other than there -- or is it typically just the dodgy sites which will likely have the shortened movie version?

Strange they didnt release 4hrs in the movies.
