Crazy how after the first two the rest were so bad. Alien still holds up beautifully, might watch it over the week
Re-Watched Jackie Brown, its a good film, but its 1 of the weaker QT films for me.

I can see why some like it, but for me there was nothing original in it.

Yeah, I agree with this. Two VERY different films, Alien is a SciFi/Horror film, and Aliens is a Sci/Fi/ War film.
I prefer Alien, its a perfect film for me. And this dialogue sends shivers down my spine:
Ash : You still don't understand what you're dealing with, do you? The perfect organism. Its structural perfection is matched only by its hostility.
Lambert : You admire it.
Ash : I admire its purity. A survivor... unclouded by conscience, remorse, or delusions of morality.
Parker : Look, I am... I've heard enough of this, and I'm asking you to pull the plug.
Ash : Last word.
Ripley : What?
Ash : I can't lie to you about your chances, but... you have my sympathies.
