Last Film You Watched

Wrote the screenplay and directed it. Agree, excellent film and, as always Giamatti delivers a first class performance.
Giamatti was very good, but I didn't get the wow factor with The Holdovers. I wanted more. I did not feel an emotional pull with this movie the same way as some of his other films, like Nebraska, Descendants or Sideways.

I think I was a victim of expectation with respect to The Holdovers

FreeJack (1992)

Who knew 2009 was gonna be like this? Emilio Estevez is no action hero but it's quite fun to see Mick Jagger playing cheeky laptop peek-a-boo during one of may car chases and the spectacularly voiced Buster Pointdexter/David Johansen looking like Benicio Del Toro in anaphylactic shock.

Was also Anthony Hopkins' first cinematic release after Silence Of The Lambs. You'd have to assume this was shot before SOTL though....and Hopkins was present for 1 maybe 2 at most days for shooting his role.

T'was good'ish.
Doesn't come near other recent'ish racing movies like Rush or Le Mans 66 but still enjoyable enough.
Mann didn't hold back with one certain scene 😟

6.5'ish/10
Shocker of a scene! I enjoyed the film - great cinematography and excellent casting

Poor Things

Completely bizarre from start to finish. Very creative, really interesting characters, incredible set design - you’ll probably recognise some environments from your own dreams.

Mark Ruffalo’s character is very entertaining in particular.

It’s an assault on the senses from time-to-time, is totally unpredictable and like nothing else I’ve ever seen - and that’s what cinema should be about it my book.
