Neither. Just show her Mel Brook's 'Space Balls' and tell her it's the whole saga in one go.My daughter wants to watch star wars for the first time.
Do I do it in order of release or chronologically based on the story. Thinking order of release because I can't be bothered watching the new ones...

Depends on how deep you want to go. If you are looking at taking her through all of them then there are quite a few routes to take. I would definitely start with A New Hope and then Empire. At that point you can jump back and do Phantom Menace, Attack of the Clones, Revenge of the Sith. Then Return of the Jedi and finally the final trilogy. You can’t ruin the big reveal at the end of Empire. My daughter wants to watch star wars for the first time.
