Last Film You Watched

Monkey man. An enjoyable revenge beat em up. Lots of nods to films that went before it, some subtle and some as blatant as can be. I particularly liked the religious/spiritual story element which gave the film another layer which these types of films generally need. I thought Dev Patel was very good although the casting was a bit off for some of the “bad guys”.

Was going to rent this tonight on Prime and give it a go. Fancied it in proper UHD.

A 7/10 for me, I wouldn’t have thought there is anything in there you haven’t seen before but it’s certainly watchable.

I thought I was going to like it a bit more than I did, I don't really enjoy hand to hand combat much. Still pretty good though
