Last Film You Watched

I think we are going to have to agree to disagree. Interesting concept delivered poorly in my opinion. Let’s see what the sequel gives us
Evil dead II.

Can you think of any/many sequels that delivered better? And I'm a firm believer in Alien. So let's not trample on that.

Off the top of my head no. I think most successful sequels (that aren’t part of a planned story eg Empire Strikes Back) generally work best when they do something a bit different. Alien is a good example, Terminator too (pun not quite intended)

I stupidly (again!) managed to leave the operative word out which is 'horror' sequels.

Well worked out all the same.

I enjoyed 'It Follows'.

Also enjoyed this horror when it came out:

I thought it was entertaining.

Terrifier - was actually decent for a low budget horror slasher film. Gave me a bit of nightmare on elm street vibes but with a clown. Will give terrifier 2 and 3 a watch soon to see how the story develops. 5/10

The Substance - more nudity than a game of thrones episode and a storyline that you would expect to see in a black mirror episode. Some funny moments but the film lost me when the young woman was able to do DIY all by herself. Some good editing and cinematography moments though. 6/10

Watched terrifier myself tonight.

Everything I want for that type of film.

Seems to have become a massive hit with the 3rd one so like yourself I’ll have to check the next two out.
