Decisions decisions, 'Heat', 'Raiders of the lost ark', 'Die hard with a vengeance', 'Lethal weapon', 'The bodyguard', 'Alien3', 'End of days', 'A quiet place', 'Clear and present danger', 'Notting hill'. There isn't a ton on this evening. Shame 'Spaceballs' or 'Young Frankenstein' isn't on. Could use a laugh.

Nicely played. It was only on about a month ago, and there's a Roger Moore documentary on bbc2 at 9pm which I think I'm fancying instead. Never go onto Gavin and Stacey first run around and so can't understand the love-in for it ever since. Have a lot of guinness and whisky to consume starting now though. Might make it to 'A quiet place' at 11:40pm film4. Gimme 'The blues brothers', gimme 'The breakfast club', or 'Weird science'.

Indy reminds me, I need a shave.

Would be Raiders for me or any Speilbergian cinema from the 80s as early 80s a lot of movies were family orientated magic….they always appeal to me during Christmas

Vengeance most Fowl was decent. Not a patch on previous, found Norbot/Peter Kay plod annoying but Gromit and Feathers McGraw were ace.

Torn between watching Casablanca or the City game.

One's the classic story of love, deception, intrigue and desperation.

The other is a classic Humphrey Bogart flick.

I watched Anora today. Need time to digest if it was one of my films of the year or just soft porn titillation. Definitely a film of two halves.

Had time to reflect on this. Although the nudity/sex scenes were quite prolific and graphic, they were not overly explicit so probably veered on the right side of gratuitousness given the subject matter. Was also concerned that it may have over glamourised the sex industry, but by the end I'd say those concerns were unfounded.

Either way this was both a brave and powerful performance by Mikey Madison, a young actress I'd previously not even heard of. Wouldn't be at all surprised if she were Oscar nominated for this. I'd definitely recommend it. If you can get past the first 45 minutes you'll be rewarded by a film that is quite often moving and funny in equal parts, and I'll wager you'll fall in love with the lead character.
