Jurassic World.
Sorry, Mr Harryhausen, you were good in your time, but THIS is what CGI was invented for. Loads of jaw dropping dinosaurs, plotholes galore, and stupid humans with an under-evolved sense of self preservation. 9/10.

TBH Skyfall suffered from similar problems as the The Man with the Golden Gun did; in that they went after and cast the best bad guy available, and then had to fit an absurd story around him rather than Bond. As you say the vast majority of it made no sense, the ending especially so.

That said it was miles better than Quantum of Solace was, and Naomie Harris was in it. Also to be honest there have been two genuinely great Bond films in the past forty years, perhaps we shouldnt expect too much from them.

One of the major negatives of Skyfall, imo. Abysmal actress.

The most annoying thing about Skyfall was that bit in the Chinese office block. Why does Bond need to get about 2 feet away from the bad guy, just take him out for gods sake! Massively annoying.

Jurassic World.

I really wanted to like it and thought that the lead actor was somewhat convincing in his role but overall I feel quite disappointed.

The Exorcism of Emily Rose. A strong 8/10.

Jennifer Carpenter, what a performance! Also with the yorkshireman Tom Wilkinson but doing an ammie accent, and the son of George C Scott in a very impressive role. The main character (Laura Linney) was played a little too TV-movie.

Brilliantly-executed story, some intelligent analysis and with some elements of horror there but ambiguous enough to make you think. Loosely based on the harrowing true story of Anneliese Michel - there's dozens of hours of her exorcism audio on Youtube...poor poor girl and stupid stupid priests (and parents). For a more accurate and drama-focussed take there is also the German film Requiem.


Highly-recommended for those who think Friedkin's famous The Exorcist is a little silly.
 

Jurrasic World was enjoyable for what it was but its been flogged to death and is just very predictable. The lead actress was fairly poor imo but Chris Pratt was ok. The effects were obviously good and since they were one of the biggest reasons I went to watch the film i cant complain to much. 6.5 out of 10.
