Last Film You Watched

Watched this last night, had high hopes, good cast, plot sounded good, utter garbage. You could actually condense the film into ten minutes - specialist cave divers get picked off one by one by unconvincing monsters.

No plastic monsters out of ten.

Has anyone seen Jurassic World?

Could I take a 3 year old?

He's seen the first 3 and loves them.

Well... i wouldn't personally, its very loud - but if you reckon he will be sound, sit him on your knee. It's a 12A and my daughter was 7 and was equally terrified and amazed.

Up to you mate. Its brilliant though!

I've took him the pictures before like and he's happy enough, he's obsessed with dinosaurs at the minute and doesn't mind the eating of humans part.

His favourite bit of all 3 films is when Tim gets electrocuted.

Finally got round to watching Sin City 2 and was disappointed with it great cast but just didnt hit the same spot as the first one
This was followed by Expendables 3 and you got exactly what you expect with it,explosions, guns, the usual

On last night - one of the better vampire films.

Great cast - Ethan Hawke, Willem Dafoe, Sam Neil.

Slightly different slant on the usual as vampires control the world and their food - humans is running out. Willem Dafoe and co fight back.

Worth a watch if you haven't seen it.

Eight pints of blood out if ten.

Watched Bienvenue chez les ch'tis (released as 'Welcome to the Sticks' here) for the umpteenth time last night. French film written by and starring Dany Boon. A very funny film that gets better with each watch. Highly recommended - although be prepared to get a little lost with some of the subtitles.

They used the best of the original material in the first Sin City film. It wasnt really made for a second film imo which is why they didnt make one stright away. With the first film they had original meterial from The Hard Goodbye, The Big Fat Kill and That Yellow Bast##d. They only had A Dame to Kill For left over and since thats the weakest of the original four graphic novels the film was always going to be weaker. There's actually seven Sin City graphic novels but since five and seven are awful they wont make another film. The sixth is made up of short stories which they've used over both films. The thing that annoyed me with the second film was the Nancy story which i thought was really poor and clearly just added to give Jessica Alba a major part and make the film last long enough.

Computer Chess - bit of an oddity this. It's a 'spoof' documentary with nerdy 80s chess programmers competing in a tournament and sharing their hotel with some semi-swinging types which sounds like it should be fun but didn't work for me. Stereotypes galore, not very funny, the way it's shot doesn't make sense and situations are set up with no resolution. Disappointing.
