Loes Carax at his weird best. An STI is going around future Paris, you catch it through making love with someone you don't love and the cure was stolen, but the narrative doesn't matter. The use of (the lack of) colour is fantastic, I really like all Carax's films I have seen, but this is up there with Holy Motors.

And then out of nowhere David Bowie - Modern Love came on..

A low budget film about heroin addicts in New York. Has everything you'd expect but with a great synth-laden soundtrack. The film is actually based on the main actress' memoir which is an interesting take on things, pretty grim.

Me and Earl and the Dying Girl

Film about two film makers who become friends with a girl who has Leukaemia. Funny/sad Wes Anderson-y film with many film references and a Brian Eno soundtrack. Certainly worth a watch

Sounds interesting, thanks for posting up. I'll dig this one out. Dark synth soundtrack and gritty subject matter = right up my street.

Didn't expect much from this, but it was actually a very good film.

Pacino plays and elderly gangster who is released from jail after 28yrs and hooks up with his best mate, another elderly gangster, played by Dafoe. Unbeknown to Pacino a hit was placed on him when he went in jail and Dafoe has been been given the task of killing him or will be killed himself.

It's funny and intelligent and shows that Pacino and Dafoe are still cracking actors if given a decent script.

Recommended .

This was shown here on the OSN channel on Friday night. I stumbled across it if I'm honest, but enjoyed it. Certainly well above average.

going to go to the pictures to watch two films in the same day soon, so that'll be something.

Going to see legend, and then the new film with Depp in, about the gangster.

Looking forward to it like.
