Last Film You Watched

I saw Burning Bush last night. Absolutely fantastic. Tatiana Pauhofova as Dagmar Buresova was fantastic

He is, however yet another film about good old Ronnie and Reggie. Who only killed, maimed and fortured their own, whilst looking after their old mum. Would've thought he'd have a bit more intergrity tbh.
Mate he is a actor and its one hell of a interesting story regardless so come off it a bit bud

San Andreas (2015) again

Thought i'd give it another go. But my opinion didn't change one bit. It's ok.

It's a disaster film starring The Rock. If you go in expecting anything different to that then that's your fault.

Decent 'things falling down a lot' effects. Boss bit at the start where man pierces his foot with a spike in true Alan Partridge style.

It's just an alright film. Nothing more. Nothing less.

Oh and Bewbs.

The Sessions

Really enjoyed this. True story based on Mark O'Brien's book. Mark was severely disabled after contracting polio very young, required a great deal of care and spent the majority of his life in an iron lung. Despite achieving a degree from Berkeley and becoming a successful poet he feels something is missing from his life, namely knockin' boots so approaches a therapist/sex surrogate to achieve his goal.
This is a very heart-warming, life affirming and funny story. John Hawkes is a really underrated actor, he's incredibly diverse and puts in a great performance here, Helen Hunt excellent and credible as his therapist and William H. Macy does brilliantly as O'Brien's catholic priest supporting him through the tangled webs of human sexuality: "This is what you want my advice on Mark? Fornication?!"
Great little film, highly recommended.

Didn't expect much from this, but it was actually a very good film.

Pacino plays and elderly gangster who is released from jail after 28yrs and hooks up with his best mate, another elderly gangster, played by Dafoe. Unbeknown to Pacino a hit was placed on him when he went in jail and Dafoe has been been given the task of killing him or will be killed himself.

It's funny and intelligent and shows that Pacino and Dafoe are still cracking actors if given a decent script.

Recommended .

Anyone seen No Escape yet?
Saw it Tuesday night at the flicks.

Wasn't sure if it was really tacky or just a top notch action movie. In the end I have decided that I liked it.
Even though its set in Cambodia, its clearly been filmed in Thailand. Having lived there it immediately struck a chord with me.
Its definitely over the top, but as far as a trip to the movies goes, it hit the nail on the head. Popcorntastic.

Not to be confused with the old Ray Liotta 90s movie...

Sinister - Not a big horror fan, missus loves them, but to be fair this is, for the most part, a cut above. Good actors with a script that's got a bit more to it it builds tension nicely. Gets a bit silly towards the end and if you haven't guessed the final scene 15 mins in you need to up yer game, but decent enough. Good to hear Boards of Canada on the soundtrack, hope they got a few quid to keep them in scotch and old moogs.
