Sounds like another example of a film subject that really ought to have been a tv series.
Spot on.
That way they wouldn't have had to skip sections of the investigation to keep the film time down.

The secret in their eyes- I prefer the original Argentinian version to Hollywood remake. Or tell no one- Ne le dis à personne, decent French thriller which is cheesy but works cos it's French.Just come back from seeing 'The Girl on the Train'. Very disappointing. For a mystery film it doesn't grip you enough. Preferred Gone Girl which has some similarities. Any suggestions for a recent mystery film better than these two?
In all, the film is summed up rather well by someone I went with - Should have been a 3 part ITV drama.
Watching for A Few Dollars More, love the sound track on this one, got the CD in my car.
hardly watched any films in the 6 months since moving home, but we've now managed 3 in the last week, and unintentionally they all had the same theme: a man fearful of losing his mind.
Enemy 3/10 - promising but turned out stupid crap...don't waste your time.
Angel Heart 6/10 - engaging turn from Mickey Rourke, daft story but entertaining enough.
Take Shelter 7/10 - acting masterclass from General Zod, excellent story ruined a little by the jarring final scene, and also the unsympathetic wife character who was actually written as sympathetic but the actress just couldn't pull it off.
Really enjoyed the slow burning anxiety of Take Shelter
