Last Film You Watched

All of me hates it. It was originally supposed to be for touching up scenes and what not, now entire scenes are being animated with ludicrous swooshing cameras that are obviously fake. The model ships in the Alien films and 2001 Space Odyssey piss all over CGI imo

Set making is a lost art nowadays, as its easier to do all the indoor stuff on a computer.

Real shame, as some of the model stuff done in the eighties, still stands the test of time today - the two you've mentioned being amongst the best. Also a lot of the set on Blade a Runner set is amazing too, a real blend between CGI and models.

You are wrong, a good film is a film you would watch again, 98% aren't, once you've seen them your done.

To want to watch a film for a 2nd time is a rare thing.
Probably not your thing, but I watched Not Another Teen Movie about 4 times in a week when I first got it. Spoof of the teen movie genre (obviously!), ripping everything from Grease to 10 Things I Hate About You and American Pie, via The Breakfast Club. Nails them all imo, and it's got Chris Evans being Chris Evans. One of my favourite comedies ever, and I could watch it anytime.

I'm not railing against blockbusters themselves, rather just how rotten they are. the best blockbusters from the 90's were entertaining, thrilling and charming: Independence Day, The Rock, Jurassic Park, Deep Impact, Fifth Element, Titanic, Forrest Gump, Matrix, Speed, Saving Private Ryan etc

Argument is pretty weak when you using rubbish like Deep Impact and Titanic, and several of those movies aren't 'Blockbusters'...

Part of me really dislikes CGI. It can be very impressive of course but there are other ways.

Jurassic Park being the most obvious example. The animatronics in the first movie peed all over all the following CGI dinos.

Star Wars IV-VI >>> Star Wars I-III...
