Last Film You Watched

Ted.

I quite enjoyed it and it had me laughing out loud at some of the childish humour. I am getting a bit sick of these kind of films having a massive underlying love story, it's like half comedy and half rom com.

6.5/10

Watched two over the weekend- safe house and Money ball- both really good actually- moneyball was made better by the kid out of super bad and Brad Pitt playing the main roles- good easy watch.

Moneyball- 7/10
Safe House- 8/10

Its all opinions and such, but really? I stuggled to give 'safe house' 1/10, whereas Moneyball although a schmaltzy Hollywood caressed lavender foof-along had a kernel of honesty and story to it and so was worth a solid 7.5/10

Watched 'Along Came A Spider' last night for the umpteenth time! But it is one of those you can watch over and over and as usual, Morgan gives a stellar performance.

That the one with Aragorn in it in a post apocalyptic battle for survival world? Hows it stack vs Mad Max?

Nohthing at all like Mad Max, more like Castaway in an apocalypse. Truly bleak, sad, desperate and tear jerking, but fantastically made movie in my opinion. All about the acting and the tension, no real action scenes.

The Deer Hunter.

Some films transcend rankings, this isn't a film, it is a nightmare, a wild eyed stare in the mirror for a country that had very definitely lost its way, its self respect and the respect of its peers. For horror, pain and anguish, no Vietnam piece ever hit as hard. The Napalm of the genre.

I always felt bad for finding it mindblowingly boring.

Okay so finally watched Drive last night. Mind = blown. Amazing movie, 10/10 for me. Boss soundtrack too innit?

Said it a few times, I thoroughly enjoyed Drive but just didn't seem to get it, the director is self proclaimed to make "genre movies" and yet it was like he tried to stuff about 6 different ones into this one film...

It basically just seemed to be the admittedly stellar looking Ryan Gosling looking at people in slow motion over a brilliant soundtrack, to me anyway.

6/10.
